Winter Burn
Winter burn affects broad-leaf evergreens, such as rhododendrons or azaleas, that bud in the fall, stay green all winter, and bloom in the spring. Winter burn also affects other plants such as hydrangeas, roses and arborvitae. Also referred to as desiccation, winter burn is caused by winter wind and even sun that dry out the plant. Since its roots are frozen, the plant can't access water to rehydrate and it suffers.

Deer and Rabbits
ShrubJacket is a great way to protect your ornamental shrubs from the rabbits and deer who love to chew on them all winter long. They don't like the fabric and soon decide to hunt elsewhere for their winter goodies.

Frost Protection
ShrubJacket works well as overnight protection from late spring or early fall frosts. Simply wrap it around your tomato plants, herbs, annuals or whatever else you need to protect. Just remember to remove it in the morning, once the sun has burned off the frost.
